ABOUT ME
A third generation Seamstress, a Cosplayer, and Sewing educator, Cheyenne Jaz Wise has a passion for making sewing and crafting more accessible to people of all skill levels. For the past seven years, she has been using her degree in film costuming, her interest in pop culture, and a can do attitude to create art inspired by Comic books, anime, movies, and whatever else inspires her. Cheyenne’s passion for the sewing and the costuming community led her to become more interested in taking part in community events, which led her to become a hero volunteer for Critical Care comics, a nonprofit where she visits children in hospitals and at other events in character as Starfire and Shuri. This ignited a passion for working with youth that led her to become the costume designer and teacher for the Rainbow Children’s theater company. Having been thoroughly bitten by the costume teaching bug, she took her unique skills of sewing, education, and general nerdery to Tik-Tok, where she has lovingly been dubbed “cosplay mom” by fans for her skill at explaining sewing concepts in acceptable ways and encouraging attitude.
